BYOSA · Bring Your Own Storage Account

Your storage account. Our distribution.

On Business, AppGantry can upload, store, and serve your build artifacts directly from your Azure storage account. Per-MB charges disappear from your invoice and the artifacts never touch our infrastructure. Only the metadata row in our database does.

What BYOSA gives you

1 · A flat bill

Per-MB metering drops off your AppGantry invoice. You're left with the platform fee on our side and the actual cloud-storage charges on your provider's side. There is no AppGantry margin in the middle.

2 · Compliance

Some customers (finance, healthcare, government) can't let build artifacts (their unreleased apps!) live in another tenant's storage. BYOSA gives you tenancy isolation on the artifact data while we still run the metadata + control plane.

3 · Geography

Pin your storage account to a specific Azure region for data residency requirements. Our default account lives in one region; yours can be anywhere Azure offers Blob Storage.

How it works

  1. You admin-consent our multi-tenant Azure AD app into your tenant. No customer-side secrets are shared with us; nothing about your storage credentials lives in our database.
  2. You create a container in your storage account and grant our app the role that lets it write blobs into that container.
  3. Our operator flips your org to BYOSA. From that moment, every upload goes direct-to-blob in your account, every download is served from your account, and the three usage meters (storage / upload / download) are disabled for your org.
  4. Your invoice from us = platform fee only. Your invoice from your cloud provider covers the actual bytes.
